LARIOSAURO
Come al solito la leggenda si mischia con la realtà. Vi è mai capitato di farvi un giro sul lago di Como e imbattervi in un Lariosauro? Bè qualcuno si, le testimonianze narrano di aver visto “quajcòss de gigant” emergere dalle acque scure del Lario. Questo rettile realmente esistito milioni di anni fa, chiamato Lariosauro, chissà per quale strano mistero sarebbe riuscito a sfuggire all’estinzione e se ne sta bello tranquillo negli abissi del lago. Furono trovati anche dei resti fossili a Perledo (sopra Varenna), i quali ci hanno permesso di capire la lunghezza del dinosauro che era circa un metro, e guarda a caso, questa misura corrisponde grossomodo alla grandezza di alcuni avvistamenti. Quindi fate attenzione quando andate al lago a farvi un bagno!!!

As usual, the legend mixes with reality. Have you ever taken a ride on Lake Como and come across a Lariosauro? Well someone did, the witnesses report of having seen "quajcòss de gigant" (“something enormous”) emerge from the dark waters of the Lario. This reptile that really existed millions of years ago, called Lariosauro, for some strange mystery it would have managed to escape extinction and sits quietly in the depths of the lake. Fossil remains were also found in Perledo (above Varenna), which allowed us to understand the length of the dinosaur which was about one meter, and coincidentally, this measure roughly corresponds to the size of some sightings. So be careful when you go to the lake to take a bath!!!
